As has been reported online earlier today, there has recently been some tension in the house shared by Hills co-stars Audrina Patridge and Lauren Conrad. And what's the source of the roommates' spat? How about an exclusive OK! photo shoot!

During the course of OK!'s exclusive shoot and interview with Audrina, LC came home, and was — well, she wasn't exactly pleased.

"She was very, very, very mad," explains Audrina in the interview — which you can check out when the next issue of OK! hits stands on Thursday! "She said it’s her house. But this is my room. I said, 'We’re not taking pictures of your house — don’t be rude.' It just adds to the tension. Now she thinks I’m sneaky and shady for doing this photo shoot, yet she and her team knew about it. She won’t let it go."

LC, Lo & Audrina are working things out

Since the season finale of The Hills, when Lauren Conrad confronted Audrina Patridge about whether their roommate Lauren Bosworth was coming between them, fans of MTV’s addictive reality soap have been wondering whether the rift is widening.

Since then, Audrina and Lauren have kept their distance at Hollywood events, like they did during a bowling party Thursday at upscale alley Strike Orange County, where Audrina bowled with her sister Casey in the first lane and the Laurens bowled (blindfolded!) in the last lane.

“Honestly I think that Lauren and I have been making a sincere effort to reach out to her,” Bosworth told PEOPLE on the red carpet before Patridge arrived. But still, Bosworth says, “I feel like we’re all kind of in a dark place right now.”

Bosworth confirmed that Patridge is still living in the guest house of the place she shares with Conrad, but when asked if she’ll be moving out (which was hinted at in the Hills finale), she said, “I don’t know. We don’t know.”

Meanwhile, Conrad seems hopeful: “There’s a little bit of tension, but we’ll work it out,” she said.

Patridge agrees. “We’re just trying to work it and see what happens,” she told PEOPLE Tuesday at a party for Nylon magazine’s “School of Rock” issue. “We’re all so busy now and going in different directions. [Drama] does happen and it doesn’t mean you don’t have to stop being friends. You can still be friends but just not be together all the time.”

And she’s also trying to stay positive. Everything will work out, she thinks “in the end, hopefully. But … ” She paused for a long moment. “I don’t know.”
