Britney Spears has been forced to turn down the role of Sandy in New Yorks production of Grease because of Jamie. Jamie felt it would be too much for Britney to handle.

“He still fears she’s going through a lot and isn’t ready to handle anything on her own. Britney was in serious talks to be the new Sandy in the show Grease. She wanted to do it, but her dad, Jamie, said no….Jamie promised the producers that when she’s ready, they would be back to work out a deal.”

Paris wants to do a tv show with Britney & Lindsay

Following the success of E!’s Living Lohan, Denise Richards: Its Complicated, and other reality celebrity hits, Paris Hilton is now pitching a new 2-hour TV special where the socialite and a group of other tabloid favorites share their input on “what it’s really like to be famous.”

Hilton is trying to get drama-prone starlets - like Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Denise Richards, Mary-Kate Olsen, and former-BFF Nicole Richie - together for a live discussion on the struggles of stardom.

Bravo and Lifetime have expressed interest in airing the special, according to a published report.

Why is Britney back with Adnan ?

I was hoping along with everyone else that the stories of Britney back with Adnan are false but it seems they are true. Friends of Britneys have said she's given him another chance because she wants to get hold of the tapes he has of her.

A friend of Brits said "Everyone is amazed that Brit has taken him back. Perhaps she couldn't live without him, but these rumours keep going round that he's got some naughty tapes and that Brit wants to get her hands on them. He [Jamie] thinks Adnan's seedy, with ulterior motives."

Seven articles of clothing once worn by the pop star are among the pieces being offered to the public by online auctioneers Gotta Have It! as part of their upcoming Rock & Roll Pop Art Auction.

One of the featured pieces is a T-shirt worn by Spears, 26, while she was a cast member on the New Mickey Mouse Club and signed by her costars, including Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, and Keri Russell. (Spears had given the shirt to her grandmother.)

"Something like that has never come up for auction before," Gotta Have It! owner Ed Kosinski tells PEOPLE. "We expect it to go for between $15,000 and $20,000."

Other Spears items include costumes from her "Drive Me Crazy" and "Oops, I Did it Again" tours, a blue and white sexy Santa dress she wore in a Christmas ad for Pepsi in 2000, and the orange coat and pants she wore to the Billboard Music Awards that same year.

Also on the block: a pair of jeans that Marilyn Monroe wore in the film River of No Return, which Spears had received as a gift from Tommy Hilfiger. Kosinski expects them to sell in the range of $60,000 to $80,000.

Proceeds from the sale of the Spears memorabilia, which was provided by Tri Star Sports and Entertainment Group on behalf of the singer, will go to a charity of Tri Star’s choosing. The company’s owner, Lou Taylor, is a spokesperson for the Spears family.

In addition to the Spears items, more than 500 lots will be offered – everything from an Elvis jumpsuit to Madonna's 1987-1988 datebook.

The datebook is "all hand-written and what she did day-to-day – if she had dinner, if she had rehearsals," says Kosinski. It even includes phone numbers for Madonna's then-husband, Sean Penn, and her Dick Tracy costar, Dustin Hoffman. Estimated selling price: $6,000 to $8,000.

The online auction will be open from July 21 until Aug. 6.

Britney's Mom's Memoir Apparently Riveting

Publishing insiders are all a-twitter about Lynne Spears's memoir about her troubled pop-star daughter Britney.

CEO Michael Hyatt, of Christian publisher Thomas Nelson, microblogs: "I'm reading through the second draft of the Lynne Spears manuscript tonight. I am hoping to be able to approve it tomorrow. It's totally compelling." A few minutes later: " I can't put it down—and I'm not even the market!" One hour later: "Wow. People are going to be surprised. The media have it so wrong."

Teach us, Lynne.

Britney's Reported New $10.8 Million Mansion

Pop princess Britney Spears is planning to be queen of the castle by moving into this palatial $10.8 million mansion, US sources have revealed. The Gimme More singer is said to have set her sights on the huge pad as she gets ready to move out of Hollywood.

She has reportedly been "looking like crazy" for a place in the quieter surroundings of the San Fernando Valley on the outskirts of Los Angeles. And insiders say the sprawling Calabasas home in an exclusive gated community is her first choice.

It is known as Chateau Suenos and boasts a home movie theatre, a swimming pool, an outside spa and a mini courtyard with a water feature. There are also spectacular views for miles around. Britney reportedly wants to distance herself from the chaos that has surrounded her at her Hollywood Hills home by moving to the calmness of the Valley.

Britney & Adnan have been hanging out

Sources tell TMZ Britney Spears has been secretly seeing a suitor. You'll never guess who. What the hell, we'll tell you -- it's Adnan!

Our sources say over the last few months Adnan has been getting into The Summit, the gated community where Brit lives. They have been "together," though we can't say it's still going on. We know they have been texting back and forth, at times complaining that Daddy Jamie is too "controlling" by trying to put the kibosh on the relationship.

But here's the deal. Daddy Jamie's job is to be controlling -- that's what a conservator does. And, sources tell us, Jamie's concern over his daughter seeing Adnan is not just his opinion -- the doctors who are treating Brit have told him it would be a bad thing for Brit to hook up with the dude.

Why is Britney Spears bodyguard filming her ? He might be filming her to show the court what she has to deal with on a daily basis. That's the only reason that I can come up with.

Britneys album due out early 2009

Darkchild talking to RapUp about a new track he's worked on with Britney four weeks ago. He also revealed that there looking at an early 2009 release for the album now.

I'm pleased that the album has been pushed back from November. The conservatorship has hopefully come to an end by that time and hopefully she has regained even more custody. Her life overall should be a lot calmer around that time.

Britneys still house hunting

Britney Spears wants to move on up -- to the quiet side.

The singer is currently seeking new, paparazzi-free digs, according to court documents filed on her behalf by dad/co-conservator of her estate Jamie Spears and her attorney, Andrew M. Wallet, TMZ reports.

The ideal home for Britney would be a house with a larger backyard for her sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, to play in and would be located in a "lower density, more quiet and less trafficked neighborhood, that is also more accessible to parks and recreation areas suitable for the...children."

Last week, Britney, 26, received the court's approval to put her current Beverly Hills pad on the market. Selling her current residence would be in the "best interest of the Conservatee, her Estate and her minor children," the document reads.

The house-hunting is the just the latest development in Britney's life. The recovering star earned overnights with her boys last week, but after a stalemate meeting, she and Kevin Federline are set to iron out their custody issues at an August trial date.

Britney is upset with her Mum

Britney Spears is very upset about her Mum releasing a book about her and Jamie Lynn. Closer Magazine are reporting that Britney doesn't want to be in the same room as her Mum.

"Britney is reportedly furious over her mother's plan to release a book about her. [She] is so angry with her mother Lynne Spears' decision to publish the tome - which details both Britney and her sister Jamie Lynn's showbiz lives - she refuses to be in the same room as her. Britney was so upset and angry with her mom that at first she refused to be at the birth. She couldn't bear to be in the same room as her [Lynne]. But when Jamie Lynn found out that Britney might not be in there, she got really frightened and couldn't stop crying. She begged her sister to reconsider, and at the last minute Britney agreed to come. Britney feels that just as she is moving forward, her mom is dragging her back. She'd even offered to pay her mom the equivalent of the book money to keep her quiet."

Lynne has been living of her daughters for years but this is a low blow even for her. Britneys sorted her self out and is back on track and Jamie Lynn has just become a Mum. Lynne needs to get her priorities sorted out and be a Mum instead of just whoring her kids out all the time.

Britney could return to the VMAs

If Britney Spears is serious about making a comeback, she can prove herself this September at the Video Music Awards.

Despite last year's reviled, head-scratching, lip-synching performance the singer put forth, MTV claims it won't say "no" to Britney Spears.

''Everyone deserves a second or third chance, right?'' Van Toffler, president of MTV Networks Music Group, says.

Don't get too excited though. Van admits that he was "sorta" kidding about welcoming Brit back with open arms.
"Who knows?" he adds.

KFed wants sole custody

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline appear to be headed for a custody trial in August, after an attempt Thursday to settle out of court failed.

After a day of talks with a mediator, Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told E!, "The mediation didn't result in an agreement that would avoid the trial set in August ... The mood was comfortable, positive and it was a mood that was consistent with opening at least a great dialogue, which is necessary."

Kaplan added that his client is seeking sole physical and legal custody of sons Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden, 1 1/2, and wants Spears to continue her current visitation terms.

The singer has been spending three days a week with the boys and was recently granted overnight privileges.

"If the existing arrangement was acceptable to both parties ... we wouldn't have to go to trial," Kaplan said. "But that didn't happen."

The trial, which is scheduled to begin Aug. 25, would result in a final custody ruling, which can remain in place for years – unless one parent successfully convinces the court to modify it.

"It's very likely both Britney and Kevin will testify in a trial," says L.A. family lawyer Lynn Soodik, who's not involved with the case. "Britney has to show the court that she's improved as a mother. If she loses, the gut-wrenching part is that she could miss out on a significant portion of her kids' childhoods.

"However, since she's under conservatorship, it's unlikely she'll win any legal custody," Soodik adds. "If she can't make decisions for herself, how can she decide things like which doctors, schools and religion, if any, are best for the kids?"

Still, says Soodik, "It's possible that both sides can settle at any time."
Calls to lawyers for Federline and Spears were not returned. Their next hearing is set for July 15.

Britney & KFeds secret meeting

Despite their differences over the last year, Britney Spears and her ex-hubby Kevin Federline have one thing in common — they'd both like to avoid going to trial this summer over the custody of their two young sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.

On Thursday, the pop singer, her father Jamie Spears and K-Fed managed to sneak away to a secret location where they and their attorneys began to try and hammer out an out-of-court custody deal ordered by commissioner Scott Gordon.

However, the all-day meeting (rumored to have been at a 5-star hotel) ultimately resulted in nothing. Both Brit and K-Fed refused to give an inch beyond the current custody status: K-Fed has temporary physical custody and Britney has visitation, which now inlcudes one overnight visit per week.

The long, drawn-out conference seemed to take its toll on the recovering pop star. An eyewitness tells OK! that following the meeting, Brit went directly back to her Studio City home at The Summit and then headed to the Ritz Carlton Hotel where she promptly booked a massage and sauna session.

Looks like the August trial date is still on — for now!

X17 are reporting that Britney got her first court allowed overnight visit with her sons last night. Douche bag KFed has gone to Miami to take part in a "celebrity" golf tournament tomorrow.

Hope Britney had a great time with her boys.
