Cameron Diaz made a very brave appearance the premiere of What Happens In Vegas in LA last night. Camerons dad died three weeks ago from pneumonia.

Cameron writes a letter to her fans

Cameron Diaz has wrote a letter to her fans thanking them for there support during this tough time. Camerons Dad died of pneumonia two weeks ago. Cameron gave the hand written letter to Ashton Kuthcher who read it out at a press junket for there film "What Happens In Vegas"

First of all, I want to thank all of you for your support over the years. So many films, so many weekends discussing films. I was really looking forward to this weekend getting to talk to my friends about a film that I am so proud of. Due to the loss of my father, I have chosen to be with my family this weekend. But it was important for me to convey to all of you how much I love this film. We really did have the best time, most fun and laughs making it. I know that the stories Ashton, Rob [Corddry] and [Director] Tom [Vaughan] share with you will illustrate that point. I was fortunate to work with a group of truly gifted individuals that share the common denominator of a generous heart and wickedly sick sense of humor. This weekend I am screening What Happens in Vegas for my family. It was a unanimous decision that we all needed to share a good laugh. After all, that's why we make films like these. So people can leave behind their worries for a couple of hours. Have a good laugh. I picture all of your smiles and it makes me happy. Thank you for your continued support. It is much appreciated. Cameron.

Ashton sends love to Cameron

Cameron Diaz was obviously missing from the London premiere of her new film "What Happend In Vegas" due to the tragic death of her Father.

Ashton said this on the red carpet about Cameron:

“She is doing well, as well as you can do. It is really unfortunate. She’s back home helping out with services and stuff. I am desperately missing her tonight. We made a present, and it's like I have to open it alone – and you want to open the present together, you want to share. I can't imagine losing my dad. That would be a pretty tragic deal. But I think she's doing good, and you know what? She'll be happy that's she's making people happy, and she's great for the movie.”

Justin Timberlake & John Mayer support Cameron

Cameron Diaz got some friendly support from her exes Justin Timberlake and John Mayer as her family held a memorial service for her late father Sunday.

Emilio Diaz, 58, died of pneumonia Tuesday morning. On Wednesday, Cameron, 35, thanked everyone for their condolences in a message that read: "His humor and spirit will always live on in our hearts."

And in keeping with that exuberant Diaz family spirit, guests arrived at the memorial service at Mahe in Seal Beach in non-traditional garb. "Most people started arriving at 1:30 and hardly no one wore black," says a source."Lots of people were wearing Hawaiian shirts. It looked more like a party."

Timberlake and Mayer arrived separately and stayed until most people started leaving around 4 p.m. – after Cameron had spoken a few words to the group.

In lieu of flowers, the Diaz family has suggested donations to Surfrider.org or Reefcheck.org in Emilio's name.

Cameron Diaz has released the following statement about the death of her father:

"My mom, sister and I are deeply appreciative of the overwhelming outpouring of love and support during this difficult time for us and all of our family. My dad was loved by so many people and his humor and spirit will always live on in our hearts,"

Cameron Diaz's Dad has died

Very sad news Cameron Diaz's Dad has died from pneumonia this morning. Emilio Diaz was only 58 he recently had flu which turned into pneumonia.

Cameron is currently filming "My Sister's Keeper" and production on the film has been shut down today.
