Britney Spears has been forced to turn down the role of Sandy in New Yorks production of Grease because of Jamie. Jamie felt it would be too much for Britney to handle.

“He still fears she’s going through a lot and isn’t ready to handle anything on her own. Britney was in serious talks to be the new Sandy in the show Grease. She wanted to do it, but her dad, Jamie, said no….Jamie promised the producers that when she’s ready, they would be back to work out a deal.”

Why is Britney back with Adnan ?

I was hoping along with everyone else that the stories of Britney back with Adnan are false but it seems they are true. Friends of Britneys have said she's given him another chance because she wants to get hold of the tapes he has of her.

A friend of Brits said "Everyone is amazed that Brit has taken him back. Perhaps she couldn't live without him, but these rumours keep going round that he's got some naughty tapes and that Brit wants to get her hands on them. He [Jamie] thinks Adnan's seedy, with ulterior motives."

Britneys on her way home

Seems like it was just yesterday that 17-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears was giving birth to her first child while her big sis, pop star Britney Spears, waited with the entire family at a Mississippi — wait, it was just yesterday. Regardless, it was apparently time for Brit-Brit to hit the road, as she boarded a plane bound for Los Angeles earlier today.

With tears in her eyes, Brit said farewell to her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, on Friday. On Wednesday night, she had flown there with her dad Jamie Spears and younger brother Bryan for the birth of little Maddie Briann Aldridge.

This visit marked only her second trip to Kentwood in over a year. In May, the pop star had come home for Jamie Lynn's baby shower, which was featured exclusively in the pages of OK!.

Earlier this week, Brit's lawyer had told the judge in her conservatorship matter that Britney would be out of town and returning by Monday, which means that, for once, the singer is actually early on a deadline!

Jamie Lynns daughters name is Maddie Briann

Jamie Lynn Spears has named her daughter Maddie Briann Aldrige. Jamie Lynn didn't give birth via c section as its been reported she gave birth naturally.

Jamie Lynns rep said "Both mom and baby are healthy and happy. They are surrounded by their close relatives, including Jamie Lynn's older sister Britney, mother Lynne, father Jamie and brother Bryan."

Britney Spears has arrived at the Mississippi hospital where her sister Jamie Lynn is expected to give birth to her first child today.

On Wednesday, Britney – along with her father Jamie and brother Bryan – arrived in her hometown of Kentwood, La., to be with Jamie Lynn. Mom Lynne has also been with Jamie Lynn, helping prepare for the baby's arrival.

The Spears family spent a relaxing evening together in Liberty, Miss., where Jamie Lynn recently bought a home, the night before. "They have had nine months to deal with this," says a Spears family friend. "Last night was very low-key. There was no last-minute panicking. No one was worried."

Britneys going to visit Jamie Lynn

As Britney Spears continues her recovery in L.A. — going to the gym, the recording studio and taking occasional acting jobs (her guest appearances on the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother could earn her an Emmy nod) — her little sis, Jamie Lynn Spears and her boyfriend Casey Aldridge have been preparing for the arrival of their baby girl.

They've moved into their new home in Liberty, Miss., the town where Casey grew up and most of his family still lives. It's only 30 minutes from Kentwood, where mom Lynne Spears lives at Serenity, the estate Britney owns and where Jamie Lynn was raised.

The couple's new $300,000 house has four bedrooms, a large yard and a swimming pool, something Jamie Lynn told OK! was an absolute essential.

"I love to swim," she said of her favorite exercise. Britney will get a tour of Jamie Lynn's new home but will stay at Serenity with her mama, Lynne. Although she'd love to visit for an extended time, she'll return to L.A. after just a few days.
"Britney will almost certainly have to juggle some of her visitations with her kids while she's off seeing her sister and new niece," an insider tells OK!. "She's not going to want to miss too many of those."

But don't think the singer isn't chomping at the bit to meet her new little niece!
Sources say Brit is set to hop on a chartered jet as soon as she knows that Jamie Lynn, is in labor and has already packed her bags.

Ever since Britney, 26, made a quick visit to her hometown of Kentwood, La., on May 3 for her 17-year-old sister's baby shower, the girls have been in regular contact, mostly texting, about the pending birth of Jamie Lynn's baby girl.

While there are no plans for Britney to be in the delivery room, she hopes to make it to Louisiana before Jamie Lynn delivers.

"As soon as she knows Jamie Lynn is in labor, Britney and her dad will be on a plane," a source close to the family tells OK!.

Britneys health is "somewhat tenuous"

Britney Spears has made seemingly great strides in the last several months, staying under the radar, winning back her visitation with her sons and even appearing twice on the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother.

However, after another long afternoon in an L.A. courtroom, during which the 26-year old singer's medical and pyschological condition were reviewed at length, the commissioner ruled that Britney's health continues to be "somewhat tenuous" and that she is still incapable of making decisions for herself.

Neither Brit nor her father Jamie Spears were present at Thursday's hearing, although commissioner Goetz approved a request for Jamie to receive more money per week in order to continue caring for Britney.

The singer's court-appointed attorney Sam Ingham told the court today he believed it was better that Britney not participate in the legal affairs of her person and estate, adding it "in fact could be harmful to her to participate."

After reviewing her medical status, the commissioner agreed, saying, "Her medical condition remains the same. Though there have been changes in her medication, I think in terms of her diagnosis, it's not complete."

The commissioner will review Brit's condition again on June 17. In the meantime, a trial is set for July 31 to determine whether to dissolve or extend the conservatorship.

Will Britney show up in court today ?

While there can be no doubt that Britney Spears has managed to make a remarkable transformation since being ordered by the court to cede all financial and personal decision-making to a conservatorship run by her father, Jamie Spears. But if she wants to make the leap toward getting her independence back, the pop star is going to have to prove herself to the judge.

Brit may have a chance to do just that on Thursday, when her father and lawyers for the conservatorship are due in court to discuss, amond other things, whether or not the mother of two is ready to get back some control over her life.

"It's a lot like the last time she was in court for the custody hearings," a case insider explains to OK!. "In that case, she had been evaluated by the court to judge her parenting skills. This time, it's about her being able to care for herself."

And though Brit is not legally required to be there for this latest hearing, her presence would be in her best interest. "If she wants more freedoms, she'll be there," says the source. "It's highly unlikely Judge Goetz would sign off on changes to the conservatorship order without being able to look Britney in the eye."

So will she show or won't she? We'll have to wait until 1:30pm PT to find out.

Jamie Spears wants MORE money

Jamie Spears has gone to court claiming a loss of earnings so he is getting Britney to pay him. Jamie has been Britneys conservator since February. Jamie claims he's lost $5,000 since taking care of Britney.

Jamie said he has been forced to give up his day job to take care of Britney 24/7. Jamie has already been awarded $1,300 from an LA court for loss of earnings but it looks like Britney will have to cough up the full ammount he wants.

The court documents stated "As a result of responsibilities Mr Spears has assumed as temporary conservator, he has been unable to continue his prior employment."

This is sick what normal Dad would do this ? He could still work he just wants the easy option and get Britney to help him out again. She's helped him out so many times in the past paying to set up restaurants and each time he fucks things up.

I can't believe he is asking Britney to pay him for loss of earnings. Money shouldn't matter to him if his daughter is getting better. I could rant about this for hours but now I understand why Jamie & K-Fed get on so well. There fine with sponging of Britney for the rest of there lifes and just sitting on their arses doing nothing.

Britney has to pay Jamie $10,000

Britney Spears's father Jamie quit his catering job to dedicate himself full-time to overseeing the pop star's affairs, court papers show.

As a result, Jamie Spears was given $10,000 in back pay to cover the first month of his co-conservatorship of her estate, which started Feb. 1, according to the documents. He was awarded a $2,500 weekly salary beginning in March.

"The responsibilities he has assumed as conservator ... have required [his] full-time attention," says the request for "replacement compensation." "As a result, he has been unable to continue to his prior employment and he has lost his source of income which he needs to pay his living expenses."

Since Jamie Spears took over his daughter's personal and professional affairs, the singer has secured expanded visitation with her two sons, who live with Spears's ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Britney isn't getting overnight visits for a while

OK! Magazine are reporting that Britney won't be overnight visits for a while.

A source said:

"Britney will not get automatic overnights in the future. Right now, the amount of time she gets for her day visits has been increased, but no overnights are planned. The court needs to see how this first step goes for a significant amount of time. It's not about how well she does with the boys. But how well the boys do. That's what it's all about."

The commissioner is worried that once Jamie Spears conservatorship isn't in place anymore that Britney will return to her old ways. Scott Gordon also feels that Britneys progress is all down to her Dad and without him things might go bad again.

Jamies conservatorship ends on July 31st

The source added that Jamie Spears has a "duty to be there, not as a father or grandfather, but by law. That is what's made the turnaround in her. Take that away, and who knows what will happen. We don't know what she'd be without the company of the conservator."

I can understand that last statement. What worries me is when Jamies conservatorship comes to an end because he's had such a tight grip on her when she has that control back in her life she's going to go crazy with her freedom going out all the time etc. There's nothing wrong with that but the media will twist it around and say she's falling apart again.

She has good people around her at the moment so I'm hoping that things continue to go well for Britney and she stays focused.

Lynne Spears speaks to In Touch

It’s been a trying few months for Lynne Spears. First her youngest daughter, Jamie Lynn, went public with the shocking news of her pregnancy in December, when she was just 16. Then in January, her oldest daughter, Britney, 26, was hospitalized twice for mental illness — before being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, say insiders.

Since then, an exhausted-looking Lynne, 52, has been shuttling back and forth between her home in Kentwood, La. (near where Jamie Lynn is staying), and Los Angeles, where Britney lives, trying to care for both girls while keeping quiet about her family’s troubles.

But on April 20, Lynne finally broke her silence, giving an exclusive, emotional interview to Life & Style. And she didn’t hold back. When asked about Jamie Lynn, now 17, Lynne spoke frankly. “I’m a bit disappointed that my youngest daughter got pregnant at such an early age,” she tells Life & Style. “All I can do is turn to God for answers and just leave it in his hands.”

But despite her frustration over the situation Jamie Lynn has gotten herself into, Lynne is trying to look on the bright side. “Jamie Lynn will be a wonderful mother,” she says. “She really has a way with children — she’s a natural nurturer. I just wish she had waited a bit.”

When it comes to Britney — who ended her long estrangement from her mom after leaving the psych ward at UCLA Medical Center on Feb. 6 — Lynne offered love and support. She also said she believes the key to solving the troubled pop star’s problems lies in her spending more time with her sons, Sean, 2, and Jayden, 1.

“I pray for Britney every day to be a better mother,” Lynne told Life & Style. “She’s gone through a lot of trauma, but she seems to be coming out of it — and it’s showing in her relationship with the boys. They’re really bonding.”

As for the future, Lynne remains hopeful for both daughters, telling Life & Style, “I think 2008 will be a better year for all of us.”

- I can't believe Lynne has done this and of all the magazines she talks to In Touch who always trash Britney atleast talk to a decent magazine like People. Funny how In Touch is the same magazine that K-Fed speaks to and manages to get hold of family photos of K-Fed and the boys.

There was no reason for Lynne to talk to the press. Britney is doing great I could maybe understand Lynne talking to the press back in the wild days but everything is great now. She should stop trying to make more money of her daughters. That comment about Jamie Lynn isn't very nice either she's going through a lot the poor girl her parents aren't around much she's going through this all by herself and Lynne says something like that ?

More court drama

Sam Lutfi is remaining on the sidelines.

E! News has exclusively learned that Britney Spears' erstwhile manager and right-hand man will not be appearing in court Wednesday to fight the restraining order that keeps him away from the pop star.

"He's not going," says a source familiar with the case.

Papa Jamie Spears originally requested a restraining order against Lutfi on Feb. 1 barring him from coming within 250 yards of Britney or having any contact with her.

In a declaration accompanying the restraining order application, mother Lynne Spears accused Lutfi of attempting "to take control of [Britney's] life, home and finances."

"Mr. Lutfi drugged Britney," Lynne Spears' affidavit read. "He has cut Britney's home phone line and removed her cell phone chargers. He yells at her. He claims to control everything—Britney's business manager, her attorneys, and the security guards at the gate."

Attorneys for Jamie Spears attempted to find and serve Lutfi but failed to track him down for weeks. Finally, after he was properly served, Lutfi agreed on March 17 to have the restraining order against him extended until Wednesday's hearing.

"He respects Britney, he respects the temporary restraining order, and everyone is beating him up for no reason," Lutfi's publicist said after the hearing. "Enough is enough."

Meanwhile, attorneys for the conservatorship overseeing Britney's estate signaled there might be a détente.

"Mr. Lutfi and Mr. Spears are in discussion that may resolve the issues presented in the TRO application," they wrote in a court filing last month.

While Lutfi has filed a motion stating he objected to having Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz presiding over his restraining order hearing instead of full-fledged judge, he has done little to argue against the allegations raised in the restraining order in court.

And with Lutfi not planning on attending Wednesday's hearing, it appears again that once again these charges will go unanswered—and his chances to reconnect with Britney anytime soon slim.

For pop superstar Britney Spears, this Easter holiday was a laid-back affair — far from the cameras and crowds that have made her life so hectic in recent months. The 26-year-old singer joined her parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears for a rare visit to her home north of Los Angeles in Malibu.

The trio were spotted quietly strolling along Pacific Cove early on Sunday. This is a marked difference from the last time Brit and her family got together in Malibu last October, when Lynne flew in from her Kentwood, La., home in a failed attempted to intervene in the downward spiral of her daughter's life.

Perhaps this time the family was preparing for Brit's debut on the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother. The singer's guest appearance on the hit show is scheduled to air Monday night — and we're sure the whole Spears family will be watching.

Jamie Spears is selling some of Britneys car. The court granted Jamie permission to "sell of dispose of" any number of the seven cars Britney owns.

Jamies lawyers stated that the cost of maintaining the cars was too expensive and the sale of "a certain of" her cars "will save substantial expense to the conservator ship estate"
